Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan have agreed on cooperation in the field of cybersecurity
A delegation led by Samir Rasulov, the head of Azerbaijan's Electronic Security Service (ETX), conducted a productive working visit to Kazakhstan on November 16-17, 2023.
Amidst this visit, the State Technical Service of Kazakhstan inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) within the Information Security domain. The MoU delineates the parameters for cooperation and synergy between the involved parties, with a specific focus on incident response in the sphere of information security.
Samir Rasulov, speaking at the signing ceremony of this pivotal MoU, underscored the significance of gleaning insights from advanced practices in combating extant cyber threats. He stressed that the reciprocal exchange of expertise and information will exert a profound and constructive influence on fortifying the information security landscape of both nations.
In parallel with the MoU signing, the delegation partook in meetings featuring representatives from Kazakhstan's National Center for Combating Computer Incidents (KZ-CERT) and preeminent firms operating in the Information Security sector in Kazakhstan. These sessions provided a fertile ground for the cross-pollination of insights and experiences in the realm of information security.

Activist Nijat Ibrahim, who was detained in Baku pre-trial detention center-1, inflicted numerous wounds on himself on November 20 in protest against unjustified criminal prosecution, his wife Parvin Ibrahim told Turan. According to her, on November 21, her husband called her and informed her that the day before he had inflicted incised wounds on himself with a piece of mirror. In particular, he cut his throat and ears.
