Azerbaijan did not release Iranian truck drivers
Baku/13.10.21/Turan: Armenian media on the evening of October 13 announced the return to Iran of two drivers arrested in Azerbaijan for illegal entry into Karabakh. At the same time, the Armenians refer to the message of the Iranian Mehr agency. However, this agency did not publish such a news.
As for the Iranian drivers, they are still under arrest and no one has transferred them to Iran. This is stated in the statement of the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan dated October 13.
“Iranian citizens Barzegar Haggi Jafar Gazanfar and Novruzi Shahrud Heydari were arrested on September 16 for illegal entering of Khankendi with false documents, as well as crossing the state border of Azerbaijan without proper documents and bypassing checkpoints.
The Customs Committee of Azerbaijan has opened a criminal case against them under Articles 206.3.2 and 318.2 and is conducting an investigation.
The reports about their return to their country do not correspond to reality,” the State Customs Committee said in a statement. -02D-
