Azerbaijan Does Not Recognize Elections in Eastern Ukraine
Baku does not recognize the elections held by separatists in the east of Ukraine.
"Azerbaijan has consistently supported the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine and does not recognize the so-called elections in this country without the consent of the central government," said the representative of the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Hikmet Hajiyev.
Earlier, the Ambassador of Ukraine Oleksandr Mishchenko at the press conference said that Kiev appealed to Baku with a call to express an attitude to the actions of the separatists in the east of Ukraine. -06D-

On Monday, the Baku Serious Crimes Court sentenced Hasan Abbaszade, a member of the "Muslim Unity" Movement, to three years in prison. Initially, Abbaszade faced charges under Article 234.4.3 (large quantities of illegal drug trafficking) of the Criminal Code.
