Azerbaijan fulfills its obligations on the Lachin road, and the EU mission causes concern - Bayramov
Baku/28.02.23/Turan: Within the framework of the trilateral agreements, Azerbaijan has pledged to ensure the safety of transport and cargo movement along the Lachin road and this obligation is being fulfilled, the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Ceyhun Bayramov stated at abriefing after talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
"As for the legitimate demands of the Azerbaijani authorities, activists of the Azerbaijani civil society, they must be fulfilled. There are various mechanisms for this, one of which Sergey Viktorovich has already mentioned is additional technical control," Bayramov said.
In order to resolve all issues, Azerbaijan proposed to establish border control points on both sides of the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan. "The President of Azerbaijan made such a proposal during the Munich Security Conference. This would ensure transparency and relieve tension," Bayramov said.
Referring to the EU mission in Armenia, the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister said that the first such mission was agreed by the parties in December 2022 for a period of 2 months. It was created with the aim of building trust, as well as contributing to the process of delimitation of the border.
"Unfortunately, this mission has not fulfilled either the first or the second function. We have not seen any steps in this direction. Moreover, we have seen that with the advent of this mission, the position of the Armenian side has become destructive on all points of the negotiation process," Bayramov said. The appearance of such a mission on the border of Azerbaijan is of concern, because it affects the interests of Azerbaijan, Bayramov stressed. ---16B---

The court records from the trial of Teymur Kerimov, the head of the YouTube channel Kanal-11, were falsified, the declaration distributed by Kerimov's colleagues. “The court documents are distorted. They misrepresented the testimony of citizens. For instance, the victim Leila Almaszadeh stated in court that she had no complaints against me. In court, she said, “Teymur did not ask me for money and did not receive any money from me.” However, the court protocol states that she is complaining about me and demands the removal of illegally recorded videos,” writes Kerimov.
