EU abuses its relations with Baku and Yerevan – Russian Foreign Minister
Baku/28.02.23/Turan: The European Union is abusing its relations with Armenia and Azerbaijan by pushing through decisions that cause very serious doubts, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said during a briefing in Baku after a meeting with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Ceyhun Baramov.
"Sending the EU mission to Armenia raises many questions regarding its functions and mandate. The technical details (of the mission) are of great importance," Lavrov said.
"Brussels is abusing its relations with Armenia and Azerbaijan by pushing through the decision to send its mission to Armenia. It raises many questions about its terms and functions, as well as whether this contributes to the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan. But this is a sovereign choice of the parties," Lavrov said. ---16B---
