Azerbaijan has returned the Armenian military
Baku/08.06.21/Turan: On the evening of June 8, the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reported that the Armenian soldier Arthur Kartanyan, who was taken prisoner in the morning of the same date, was returned to the Armenian side.
“As a result of additional investigations, it turned out that a serviceman of the Armenian Armed Forces, Arthur Kartanyan, who was detained on June 8, 2021 at the territory of the Lachin region of the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border, entered the territory of Azerbaijan not for the purpose of committing a provocation. It was found that he got lost and crossed the border of Azerbaijan, ”- the Ministry of Defense said.
According to the same source, during the initial interrogations, he "behaved suspiciously", which led to suspicions that he was a member of a sabotage group, the message goes on to say.
Taking into account the above, A. Kartanyan was returned to the Armenian side, reports the Ministry of Defense, which during the day claimed that Kartanyan was a member of the sabotage group. -02D-
