Azerbaijani Ambassador presented his credentials to Israeli President
Baku/27.03.23/Turan: Azerbaijani Ambassador to Israel Mukhtar Mammadov presented his credentials to Israeli President Ishak Herzog. The Ambassador wrote about it in his Twitter account.
"It is a great honor and pride for me, as the first Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan, to present my credentials to the President of the State of Israel," Mammadov wrote.
On November 19, 2022, Milli Majlis approved the government's decision to open Azerbaijan's Embassy in Israel.
On November 26, the country's President signed a decree to ensure the activity of the Embassy in Tel Aviv.
On January 11, Mukhtar Mammadov was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Israel by the decree of the head of state.
The decision to open the Embassy came at a time of worsening Iranian-Azerbaijani relations.
According to Israeli media reports, the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Ceyhun Bayramov will visit the country on March 29 to participate in the Embassy opening ceremony. -03-
