Under the leadership of Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov and Chief of Staff Najmeddin Sadigov large-scale tactical exercises with participation of Azerbaijani armed forces of all kinds began on February 2. According to the press service of the Ministry of Defense, the exercises are held on behalf of the Supreme Commander Ilham Aliyev. They involve 15,000 personnel, 300 armored vehicles, more than 200 rockets, and artillery units, 20 units of aircraft, modern air defense systems.
