The Azerbaijani Embassy in Iran will resume work within the next 15-20 days, the Iranian media reported referring to the head of the Main Directorate of Eurasia of the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Mujtaba Demirchilu. At the same time, according to him, the issue of the appointment of the Iranian ambassador to Azerbaijan will be resolved after the formation of the government of this countrie6 in connection with the election of a new president.

After that, Azerbaijan suspended the activities of the embassy in Iran.
