Azerbaijani flag burned at the opening of the European Weightlifting Championship in Yerevan
Baku/14.04.23/Turan: On the evening of April 14, the opening ceremony of the European Weightlifting Championship was held in Yerevan.
During the presentation of the participating countries, the flag of Azerbaijan was brought to the stage too. At that moment, one of the organizing team snatched the flag from the girl's hands and set it on fire, and then ran out of the hall.
After some time, the flag was returned back. The whole scene was accompanied by the whistling of the audience.
The fact that the author of this trick is a member of the organizing team can be seen from the certificate that hung on his chest.
Recall that the weightlifting team from Azerbaijan is participating in this championship. Earlier, the Armenian authorities stated that they guarantee the safety of the members of the Azerbaijani team. -0-

It is difficult to predict the future of Azerbaijan-U.S. relations under Donald Trump, said Ali Kerimli, leader of the Azerbaijan Popular Front Party (PFPA), in an interview with Turan agency. "Since Trump's team has not yet been formed, it is unclear who will be appointed Secretary of State, who is responsible for foreign policy. It is also unclear what priorities Trump's team will have for the Caucasus region," Kerimli noted. At the same time, certain assumptions can be made about Trump's policy.
