Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry: Armenian leadership deliberately aggravates the situation at the front
Serzh Sargsyan's trip to Nagorno-Karabakh is provocative and serves only to exacerbate tensions, spokesman of Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry Hikmet Hajiyev. "A visit of the Armenian president to the occupied Azerbaijani territories and conducting military meeting there is another provocative step to further exacerbate an already difficult situation," said in comments Hajiyev.
With such provocative actions the Armenian leadership demonstrates once again pursuing a policy of annexation of Azerbaijani lands, violating the norms and principles of international law and the UN Charter. This once again confirms that official Yerevan is behind the escalation of the situation on the contact line of troops on April 2.
Despite the urgings of the international community to begin comprehensive political process to resolve the conflict, the Armenian authorities continue their aggressive policy, do not withdraw their troops from the occupied lands of Azerbaijan, violate ceasefire regime and is taking steps towards exacerbation of the situation. This represents a serious threat to peace and stability in the region.
Responsibility for aggravation of the situation at the front is on the Armenian state, which occupied the lands of the neighboring country, summed Hajiyev. -06D--
