Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Demands Explanations from Georgian Authorities Regarding Border Incident
Baku / 07.15.19 / Turan: The Georgian Ambassador to Azerbaijan today was summoned to the country's Foreign Ministry in connection with the violation by a group of individuals from Georgia of the state border of Azerbaijan on July 14, and their attack on the Azerbaijani border guards and insulting the border guards who protected the Keshikchidag cave complex. An explanation was requested from the ambassador, the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said.
"We regret to note that such actions absolutely contradict the spirit of the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Georgia, and we regard this as a provocation aimed at creating a confrontation between the two countries," the statement said.
The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry demanded that the Georgian side conduct an investigation, take appropriate measures and inform official Baku, the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan said in the statement. -06D--

On November 28, another hearing took place in the case of public activist Ilhamiz Guliyev. During the proceedings, the court reviewed a response from the 28th Police Station of the Yasamal District in Baku. At the previous hearing, the defense had requested that the court obtain footage from the surveillance cameras at this police station, where Guliyev was taken on December 4 of last year. However, the police response stated that the video footage had not been preserved.
