Azerbaijani President Allocates AZN 40 Million for Development of NAR
Baku / 23.11.19 / Turan: Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev signed three orders on November 22 to allocate funds to finance projects for the socio-economic development of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR).
In particular, the NAR Cabinet of Ministers will be provided 34.3 million manats for the reconstruction of the Ordubad-Julfa highway, 4.8 million manats – for the creation of an artificial insemination center and 0.5 million manats for the provision of apartments for disabled people and families of martyrs.
Money will be allocated from funds provided for investment purposes in the state budget of Azerbaijan in 2019.
It should be noted that on November 18, the President of Azerbaijan, accepting the head of the Supreme Majlis Vasif Talybov, expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that the region’s budget is formed only by 22 percent from local sources.
“I believe that in subsequent years measures should be discussed to increase the share of local taxes in the NAR budget. This will provide more opportunities for implementing social and industrial projects,” Aliyev noted. —06D-
