Azerbaijanis of the world gather in Baku
On June 3-4 Baku will host the Fourth Congress of World Azerbaijanis, according to the State Committee on Work with Diaspora. The organizing committee was created to prepare the Congress. The participation of more than five hundred of Diaspora organizations from 49 countries of the world is expected..
In addition, more than 50 guests, politicians, public and scientific figures known for their friendly attitude towards Azerbaijan have been invited to the forum. The Forum will discuss the activities since the past Third Congress, as well as define the objectives to bring to the world community the realities of Azerbaijan. Discussions will be held both at the general sessions and panels on specific topics.
Currently, in many countries of the world there are more than 450-year-Azerbaijani Diaspora organizations. The First Congress of World Azerbaijanis was held on 9-10 November 2001 on the initiative of Heydar Aliyev in Baku. The Second congress was held on March 16, 2006, The Third Congress was held on July 5-6, 2011. -05D04-
