Baku City Hall auth0rised opposition picket near the Mayor�s Office
Baku / 10.03.19 / Turan: The Mayor's Office of the capital agreed to hold a picket by supporters of the National Council at the city administration building on October 8 from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., reads the response of the Mayor Office to the appeal of the organizers of the action.
The authors of the appeal intend to protest against the ban of the city hall on holding an opposition rally in the city and the proposal of the authorities to hold a meeting outside the capital.
From the answer of the Mayor Office, it follows that it is allowed to hold the picket in the alley between the city hall and the Economic University. The organizers are called upon to observe law and order. This means that the number of participants in the action should be limited.
One of the organizers of the rally, Fuad Gahramanli, called the response of the city hall "a small victory of the opposition." - 02D-
