Karabakh answered Lavrov: they ill not give Askerov and Guliyev
Baku /10.03.19 / Turan: The Karabakh separatists denied yesterday"s statement by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov that Armenia and Azerbaijan are preparing to exchange hostages and prisoners.
So, today the assistant to the "president" of Karabakh, David Babayan, stated that the Armenian side is ready to change prisoners and hostages, who accidentally find themselves on the opposite side.
However, Askerov and Guliyev are not considered as such, "they are terrorists and murderers convicted by the court," Babayan said.
"We cannot "exchange these people." If someone tries to follow this path, it can cause a sociopolitical explosion here. That is, it cannot, but it will cause 100%, with very unpredictable consequences," Babayan said.
Askerov and Guliyev were captured in 2014 in the territory of the Kalbajar region of Azerbaijan, which has been under Armenian occupation since 1993. -02D-
