Baku City Hall did not allow a rally in the city
Baku/09.26.19/Turan: The Baku Mayor"s Office approved a rally of supporters of the National Council of Democratic Forces on September 28 on the outskirts of the city. This became known today from the response of the mayor's office to the organizers of the action.
According to the People"s Front Party, the Mayor Office answered that the rally could be held in the village of Lokbatan at the sports base of the Neftchi club.
The National Council requested permission to hold the rally in one of three places: in front of the metro station "May 28", in front of T. Bahramov"s stadium or in the square in front of Narimanov"s park.
The head of the Mejlis of the Popular Front Party, Nuraddin Mammadli, told Turan that the proposal of the Mayor's Office will be discussed, after which a decision is made.
The head of the Popular Front Party Ali Karimli expressed a similar opinion, saying that holding a rally outside the city limits does not make sense. "In fact, the answer of the City Hall means a refusal to hold an action," he said.
A protest rally was planned with demands to conduct electoral reforms, freedom for political prisoners, the use of a health insurance system, the abolition of energy limits for the population. -16D-
