Baku expresses protests against the Altai region
Azerbaijan protested the representation of the Russian Foreign Ministry in the Altai Territory and the Tomsk region in connection with the "illegal" visit of Masters and PhD students of Tomsk State University the occupied Azerbaijani territories," said the official spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Hikmet Hajiyev, commenting on the visit of Russian students in Karabakh.
The Consulate General of Azerbaijan in Yekaterinburg delivered a note to the diplomatic mission of the Russian Foreign Ministry. Consul General Sultan Gasimov discussed this issue with the leadership of the Tomsk region and the mayor of Tomsk, expressing dissatisfaction of the Azerbaijani side. Also a letter of protest was sent to the Tomsk State University, said spokesman of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
Azerbaijan states it is necessary first to get permission of the Foreign Ministry before traveling to the territories occupied by Armenia. Persons who do not comply with this requirement shall be included in the blacklist, and not allowed in Azerbaijan. -16D-
