Baku promptly agreed to Moscow's proposal for negotiations with Armenia
Azerbaijan has always been ready for negotiations with Armenia in Russia and other venues, Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry spokesman Ayhan Hajizade told TASS, commenting on Moscow's readiness to organize a meeting of the parties. "The Azerbaijani side has always been ready for negotiations with the Armenian side in Russia and other venues," Hajizade said.
This is how he reacted to today's statement by Russian Foreign Ministry representative Maria Zakharova that Russia is ready to provide a platform for negotiations between representatives of Baku and Yerevan. Zakharova noted that the Russian Federation considers the conclusion of a balanced peace treaty between the parties as an indispensable prerequisite for building an architecture of indivisible security in the region.
