Baku will check the accuracy of the reported statement of the Foreign Minister of Uruguay
The Azerbaijani Embassy in Montevideo is investigating the validity of posts of the Armenian media about the statement of Foreign Minister of Uruguay to recognize the separatist regime of Nagorno-Karabakh, reads the commentary Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry spokesman Hikmet Hajiyev on January 6. "Recently were distorted statements of the Vice President and President of the Senate of Uruguay Danilo Astori, made during his visit to Armenia. Later Uruguayan Foreign Ministry, with reference to Astori said that the information spread on his behalf is untrue. The official position of Uruguay is to support peace settlement of the conflict through negotiations and taking into account the interests of both parties," said Hajiyev.—06В-

Today, the Baku Appellate Court reviewed Bahruz Samadov's appeal against the illegal search of his apartment and upheld the decision of the Sabail District Court dated September 5, lawyer Zibeyda Sadigova told Turan. According to her, the search of Samadov’s apartment was conducted without a court order, and without the presence of Samadov or his lawyer. Consequently, the defense requested that the search protocol be declared illegal and that the seized items be returned.
