Bayramov and Haq discussed prospects for normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia
Baku/20.10.23/Turan: Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Joshua Haq discussed issues of bilateral cooperation, the situation in the region in the post-conflict period, prospects for normalization of relations between Baku and Yerevan on Friday.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bayramov informed Haq about the current situation. He stressed that the anti-terrorist operation in Karabakh not only put an end to the occupation of Azerbaijani territories, but also removed obstacles to the signing of a peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia and the reintegration of Karabakh Armenians.
According to Bayramov, Azerbaijan is determined to promote the peace agenda, noting the importance of the constructive position of the world community.
During the meeting, the sides also exchanged views on bilateral and multilateral issues of mutual interest. ---03B06---
