Bundestag Delegation"s Visit
Azerbaijan is being visited by the delegation of the German Bundestag for the negotiations for the selection of candidates for participation in the International Parliamentary Scholarship Program.
The delegation is headed by the deputy Viola von Cramon-Taubadel. Tomorrow the delegation will be received by the Vice-Speaker of the Azerbaijani parliament Bahar Muradova, Turan was told at the German Embassy.
The program provides familiarization of 120 scholars from 28 countries with the parliamentary system of Germany in the Bundestag from March 1 to July 31, 2013. Each fellow will be working with one of the deputies, while learning at the University of Berlin. All the costs are taken by the German side.
Applications for the program will be served in the German embassy from December on.

The German delegation will hold meetings with the Azerbaijani specialists in the fields of politics, economics and education, as well as with previous scholars.

As part of the peace process with Azerbaijan, Armenia has proposed solutions to all agenda issues, stated Armen Grigoryan, Secretary of Armenia's Security Council, on January 23. "We are not asking for peace, we are offering peaceful solutions to all existing issues. For the two unresolved points, we have sent proposals and are waiting for a response from the Azerbaijani side. We hope that we will find solutions," Grigoryan said, according to Armenian media. Meanwhile, the press service of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs told Turan that "negotiations on the text of the peace agreement are ongoing."
