Canadian Azerbaijanis: R.Ibrahimbayov for presidency

The Initiative Group   of the Canadian unit of the National Council of Democratic Forces (NCDF) of Azerbaijan called on the head of this structure, Rustam Ibrahimbayov to give a consent to the nomination as a single presidential candidate from the opposition.

“The establishment of the National Council and the election of the chairman  caused unprecedented enthusiasm in Azerbaijan and abroad among the diaspora.
 
For the first time in many years, there is hope for a better life. At the same time, your hesitation to return to Azerbaijan provoke depressive thoughts about the omnipotence of the Aliyevs, and  about the futility of dealing with them. Some are  depressed, and some journalists who call themselves human rights activists, enthusiastically welcomed the criticism of Isa Gambar to your for your delaied return to Baku.  The title of the article reads: “The long-awaited hit from Gambar on  Rustam.”
 
 Please do not give opposrtunity  every false prophets to triumph," note the authors of the appeal.
 
 They call on  Ibrahimbayov to return to the country, to agree to be the only candidate for presidency, and  other opposition politicians should not be nominated for presidency.
 
"The authorities will not dare to arrest you, and if they dare, they will receive a resolute rebuff.
 
 All of their capital and assets  is in the West - under control.  The authorities are bluffing, hoping to pay off. Do not be afraid,  people are behind you , and they can prove that  they are  not worse than the others, and  can fight for their rights and for democracy," reads  the appeal.
