Catholicos of the Armenians called Pashazadeh to take steps to reduce tensions on the front
Yerevan. 06.08.14.Turan-ArmInfo: Catholicos of All Armenians Gareghin II sent a message to the spiritual leader of Azerbaijan Sheikh Allahashukur Pashazadeh, calling have an impact on the Azerbaijani authorities to not jeopardize the peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict. This is stated in the press service of Echmiadzin.
The letter reads in part: "Continuously fires at the Armenian frontier settlements from Azerbaijan, diversionary attacks, as well as permanent ceasefire violations jeopardize fragile but dearly purchased peace in the region. We are deeply concerned about the escalation of the situation, which is the cause of human casualties and destabilizes the lives of the residents of border settlements," the appeal said.
