Cavusoglu: Erdogan to Meet with Putin Again
The Presidents of Turkey and Russia, Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan will meet before the G-20 summit in China. This was said by the Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu at a press conference in Baku today.
According to him, the day before the Turkish delegation visited Moscow and discussed the resumption of charter flights to Turkey with the Russian colleagues.
In the near future meetings of representatives of Turkey and Russia at the level of the heads of ministries are planned.
According to Cavusoglu, the normalization of Turkish-Russian relations will also have a positive impact on the issues of regional cooperation and the settlement of the Karabakh conflict.
Cavusoglu said he discussed the Karabakh settlement with his "friend", Sergey Lavrov, in Sochi at the beginning of July.
He also stated on the possibility of formation of mechanisms of trilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan, Turkey and Russia like the existing formats of cooperation Azerbaijan-Turkey-Iran, Azerbaijan-Turkey-Georgia, and Azerbaijan-Turkey-Turkmenistan. Work is also underway to establish a tripartite mechanism of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Kazakhstan.-06C-
