Civil Society Platform (CSP) is organizing a public forum on constitutional amendments
At today's meeting Public Association "Civil Society Platform” '(CSP) decided to hold public hearings on the draft amendments to the Constitution. To this end, it is planned to hold a public forum. The CSP appealed to the international press center for the organization of the debate, but was refused. The CSP intends to distribute the document with the estimates of the amendments and prepare a video on proposed amendments to the Constitution. Also, a separate document on the new wave of repression will be prepared, started in August.
On Wednesday, members of the CHR exchanged views on the idea of creating a platform for
dialogue between government and civil society on the initiative "Open Government". Panelists expressed concern with not including in the Platform many independent representatives of civil society. The meeting also adopted decisions on changing the order of admission of new members to the PGO.
In addition, it was decided to step up cooperation with international organizations PGO.
• PGO was established in February 2016 by a group of representatives of civil society of Azerbaijan in order to promote democratic reforms and economic reforms in the country. -05D-
