Clashes between Azerbaijanis and Armenians in Moscow may intensify
Baku/24.07.20/Turan: Several incidents involving Azerbaijanis and Armenians were recorded in Moscow last evening, during which Armenians were beaten. This was a response to the attacks of Armenians against Azerbaijanis in Los Angeles, Brussels, London and Paris.
According to Russian media, the police detained 13 people, but their nationality is not disclosed.
Armenians complain that more than 10 of their cars were damaged in different parts of Moscow. At least five Armenians have been beaten, Armenian Ambassador Tonoyan claims.
In turn, the vice-president of the Union of Azerbaijanis of Russia Elnur Huseynov told Lenta.ru that the conflict in one of the sleeping areas of the capital began because of a provocation from the Armenians. According to him, a group of Armenians attacked Azerbaijanis who were selling vegetables.
In addition, a video appeared on the Internet in which Armenians staged a pogrom in a cafe owned by Azerbaijanis.
Azerbaijanis living in different regions of Russia intend to come to Moscow to support their compatriots. -02D-
