Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group in Baku
Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, James Warlick (USA), Jacques Faure (France), and Igor Popov (Russia) arrived in Azerbaijan on November 3 for a short visit.
According to the press service of the Embassy of the United States, today November 4 the co-chairs will meet with Azerbaijani officials. It is expected that the meeting will be held in the Foreign Ministry and the presidential administration. The topic of the discussions was organization of the next meeting of the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Last week, the U.S. Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Richard Morningstar, in an interview with Turan said that America is committed to resolving the conflict.
"The Secretary of State Kerry is interested in this issue. He is very interested in resolving the Karabakh conflict. Our new co-chair Warlick has brought a new approach to the issue. I say this because I took part in two meetings of Warlick with the Foreign Minister in Baku. I think that both he and we see a new opportunity to resolve the conflict after the presidential elections in Armenia and Azerbaijan," he said.
In turn, Warlick himself told Turan, the co-chairs will try bring the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan to the negotiations by the end of the year. -03B04-
