Committee of the U.S. Senate adopted a resolution on the Armenian Genocide
The Committee on Foreign Affairs of the U.S. Senate approved a resolution on the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire , which calls for Washington to take into account in its foreign policy " lessons and consequences of genocide ."
We note that a similar resolution had once been adopted by the Committee (25 years ago). However, the Senate did not approve it . According to the procedure , a resolution comes into force, after approved by the Senate.
The author of the project is an active representative of the Armenian lobby, Senator Menendez . Twelve members of the Committee voted for the document and five voted against. -02D-
