Baku/17.03.21/Turan: The New York-based Committee to Protect Journalists called on official Baku to investigate the March 14 attack on an emigrant from Azerbaijan, blogger Mohammed Mirzali.
Recall that the blogger was attacked by a group of people who inflicted numerous knife wounds on him and threatened to cut off his tongue.
French authorities should investigate the attack on the political émigré and blogger from Azerbaijan, find the perpetrators and bring them to justice, CPJ said in a statement.
CPJ recalls that earlier attempts were made on Mirzali; he was threatened, demanding to stop criticizing the leadership of Azerbaijan. Finally, this month, he was blackmailed with an intimate video of his sister, threatening to publish it if Mirzali did not "wiser".
