The U.S. Congressman from Texas Henry Cuellar issued a statement in which he called Azerbaijan friend of the U.S. in a very dangerous region.
He stressed that oil-rich Azerbaijan provides hydrocarbons of the Caspian Sea to the West. The Congressman brought to the attention of his colleagues the importance for the United States to deepen relations with Azerbaijan.
Note that at the February 25 meeting of the House of Representatives of the United States another Congressman from Texas Gene Green and two other Congressmen, Tim Ryan and Virginia Fox, made an appeal to colleagues to recognize and condemn the mass killings of Azerbaijanis in Khojaly, February 26, 1992. -06D-

From 19 to 26 July, 24 automatic rifles, 1 machine gun, 9 rifles, 28 grenades, 441 shells, 3118 cartridges of different calibre and other ammunition were found in Khankendi, the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry reported. During the mentioned period, the police found 1 machine gun, 50 grenades, 7 fuses, 3 shells and 320 cartridges of different calibre in Shusha.

President Ilham Aliyev has approved by decree the Azerbaijan-Kazakh intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in military intelligence defense sector. The document was signed in Baku on 7 June 2024.
