CSTO presented Pashinyan measures to defuse the situation at the border - Kopyrkin
Baku/05.10.22/Turan: On September 29, CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas presented recommendations to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on defusing tensions in some sections of the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan, which are being prepared by the CSTO joint headquarters, Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergei Kopyrkin told journalists in Yerevan on Wednesday.
“The proposals that the CSTO joint headquarters intends to develop will be presented to the leaders of the CSTO member states. The talk is about concrete steps that should practically demonstrate the presence and role of the organization in this region,” said Kopirkin.
It should be noted that earlier Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov announced the development of proposals for the deployment of CSTO observers on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
This proposal was made after France announced that it would send its observers to the Armenian border. A similar proposal was made by the OSCE. --02D--

Aliyev emphasized that the "binocular diplomacy" of the European monitoring mission is unacceptable and contributes to distrust in Azerbaijan's relations with the European Union.
