Declaration on Karabakh by the foreign ministers of the CSTO member states
On Monday following the meeting of the CSTO the Council of Foreign Ministers in Yerevan adopted a joint statement, which expressed support for the agreements reached at the meetings on May 16 in Vienna, on June 20 in St.Petersburg, the press service Armenian Foreign Ministry. According to the same source, the document states that the agreements are aimed at "preventing the escalation of the situation, stabilizing the situation and creating conditions for the promotion of the peace process."
"Reaffirming the necessity of peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, we express support for the efforts of the OSCE MG for settlement of the conflict based on the norms of international law, the UN Charter, the provisions of the Helsinki Final Act, in particular regarding the use of force or threat of force, territorial integrity, equality and the right of peoples to self-determination," says the statement. -02D-
