No sooner had President Ilham Aliyev returned from the trip to Iran, as the Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov will start a two-day official visit to that country.
As stated in the press service of the Defense Ministry, the visit is at the invitation of the Iranian Defense Minister Hussein Dehghani.
During the visit, issues of military cooperation and regional security will be discussed. Meetings will be held with the military and political leadership of Iran. -16D-

From 19 to 26 July, 24 automatic rifles, 1 machine gun, 9 rifles, 28 grenades, 441 shells, 3118 cartridges of different calibre and other ammunition were found in Khankendi, the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry reported. President Ilham Aliyev has approved by decree the Azerbaijan-Kazakh intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in military intelligence defense sector. The document was signed in Baku on 7 June 2024.
