Defense Minister receives Special Envoy of OSCE Chairman
On 20 February, Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov received the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Andrzej Kasprzyk.
As the press service of the Defense Ministry told Turan, the meeting discussed the situation on the contact line between Armenian and Azerbaijani forces, the results of the OSCE monitoring, the situation around the settlement of the conflict and its prospects.
Note that a few days ago Kasprzyk held similar meetings with the Armenian side. According to sources in Yerevan and Karabakh, Armenians urged the OSCE to put pressure on Azerbaijan to withdraw snipers from the front line. At the same time, the Armenian side accused Baku of deliberately provoking the shootings at the front to derail the peace talks.
Baku in its turn, accuses the Armenian side of regular shelling, mining and provocations. -16D-
