The Press Service of the Ministry of Defense has denied media reports about the replacement of the commander of the Air Force Altay Mehdiyev.
The night before, unofficial military sources said that the post was appointed Major-General Ramiz Tahirov , who is Deputy Assistant to the President on military matters .
