Discrimination in the Baku Court of the Acting Ambassador of the Netherlands
Acting Ambassador of the Netherlands to Azerbaijan, Ozlem Janelle, suffered discrimination in the Baku Serious Crimes Court. So, Janelle was among the diplomats who came to the court to attend the trial of Leyla and Arif Yunus. However, only some diplomats were let in.
When they saw the identity of Janelle, bailiff refused to let in her without explanation.
The diplomat demanded clarification, asking why they let the British, American and French diplomats. "Why do you discriminate against Ambassador of the Netherlands? Is this an official decision?
But it did not have any impact on the police officer, who did not even listen to the diplomat.
The same happened to the representative of the German Embassy.
He was let to the corridor, and after stayig there for 40 minutes, the diplomat was asked to lave the court. –03C06-
