ECHR considers 8 more complaints for the parliamentary elections in 2010
Baku/10.12.13/Turan : European Court of Human Rights ( ECHR) has launched a communication on 8 more complaints for the parliamentary elections in 2010 , bringing the total number of complaints to the elections in 2010 , for which the ECHR began communication with the authorities of Azerbaijan, to 51 . Turan was told by the head of the Legal Education Society Intigam Aliyev .
According to him, among the last 7 cases are complaints PFPA leader Ali Kerimli (was a candidate from the PFPA - Musavat bloc ) , Ilham Huseynli (PFPA - Musavat ) , Yaqub Babali ( Party " Classic " People's Front of Azerbaijan) , Rashid Mansurov ( block "Karabakh" ) , Leila Mustafaeva (independent candidate ), Soltanhamid Melikov (independent candidate ), Giyas Sadigov ( party " Classic " Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan) and Sitara Zeynalova (independent candidate ) .
Mansurov's interests are represented by Emin Aslanov, Huseynli is represented by Hafiz Gasanli and other applicants - by Intigam Aliyev .
All the applicants raise the question of violation of the right to free elections guaranteed by Article 3 of Protocol 1 of the European Convention on Human Rights and the right to effective legal proceedings , provided by Article 13 of the European Convention on Human Rights .
Kerimli and Huseynli also pose questions about the right not to be discriminated against.
The complaints referred to falsify the elections , including the illegal interference of the authorities in the election process , the use of administrative resources in favor of the ruling party and its candidates an unfair investigation of complaints in the election commissions and courts.
Note that the ECHR is already conducting communication on the second complaint from the PFPA leader Ali Kerimli on violations of the right to free elections . Earlier , the ECHR found a violation of his rights in the parliamentary elections in 2005 and ordered the Azerbaijani government to pay him compensation .
Of the 50 complaints received in communications, 31 are associated with the refusal of registration of candidates and 20 - with election irregularities and the lack of a fair investigation, said Intigam Aliyev . -06D -.
