Ecological Genocide Committed by Armenians to Be Documented - Ministry of Ecology
Baku / 16.11.20 / Turan: The Ministry of Ecology of Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijani public in general sharply condemn acts of environmental terror committed by Armenians in Kelbajar, said Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan Vugar Kerimov.
The destruction of flora and fauna by the Armenians, in particular the felling of plane trees more than two thousand years old in Jabrayil, Zangilan, Gubadli and other territories liberated from occupation, the burning of the Topkhana forest around the city of Shusha, and now the felling of trees and arson of objects in Kelbajar are ecological crimes.
"Numerous photos and videos of this barbarism, distributed by various media, speak of genocide against the nature of the region," Kerimov said.
The Deputy Minister noted that these facts were submitted to the relevant international organizations. They will be invited to Azerbaijan to fix and assess the damage. -02D-
