Eight candidates from the Movement block registered
Baku / 13.01.20 / Turan: The Movement Electoral Bloc announced the completion of a campaign to collect voter signatures in support of its candidates.
Of the 18 candidates for the bloc, 17 passed the signature sheets.
Only one candidate - an activist of the NIDA Movement, a former "prisoner of conscience" Ilkin Rustamzadeh, signature sheets were not issued because of the criminal record, and he could not participate in the campaign. He disputes this decision legally.
Eight block candidates, including Azer Gasimli, Togrul Veliyev, Mehman Huseynov, Ruslan Izzetli, Samed Rahimli, Gurbanali Yusibov, Baba Mammadli and Elsever Seid, have been registered. Another nine candidates are awaiting decisions of the district election commissions.
During the campaign, pressure was put on the candidate for the 73rd Lankaran City Electoral District, Baba Mammadli and his volunteers, to remove them from the election process.
In the 10th Binagadi Third District, the right of candidate Rabia Mammadova to appoint an authorized representative was limited.
* The Movement Bloc was established on December 25, 2019 by a group of social and political activists, journalists, lawyers, advocating for a rule of law state, ensuring the rights and freedoms of citizens, and the creation of independent fair justice. — 06D-
