Electronic warfare systems used by Armenians to interfere with civilian aircraft discovered in Karabakh
Baku/19.10.23/Turan: Electronic warfare complexes used by Armenian armed formations for radio interference of civil aircrafts have been found in Karabakh.
The State Security Service reports that in 2021-2023 such radio interference created disruptions in the operation of navigation satellite systems. At the same time, civil aircrafts of AZAL and foreign companies flying near the Karabakh region lost communication, which could lead to temporary loss of control and disasters.
After the military operation on 19-20 September, foreign-made Polyus-21M and "Repellent-1" type electronic warfare complexes installed on the basis of trucks were detected in Karabakh.
According to the tactical and technical indices, the complex "Polyus-21M" is used to block signals from satellite navigation systems such as "GPS", "GLONASS", "Galileo", "Beidou" and others to objects at a distance of up to 150 kilometres.
Recall that "Repellent-1" complex creates radio interference of navigation systems of air objects at a distance of up to 35 km. It was used to block signals and interference with signals from navigation satellites "GPS" and "GLONASS". -06В-
