Erdogan called on Armenia to actively participate in efforts to create a foundation for peace
Baku/26.09.23/Turan: President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, following a yesterday's meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in Nakhchivan, expressed his vision to convert the Zangezur and Lachin corridors into corridors of peace. Erdogan emphasized that the ongoing conflict in the region poses a significant challenge to realizing this transformation.
Highlighting the imperative of establishing lasting peace and stability under the framework of Azerbaijan's sovereignty, particularly in areas like Khojaly and Karabakh, Erdogan issued a call to Armenia, urging them to actively participate in the endeavors to construct a foundation for peace.
The meeting between Erdogan and Aliyev underscores the ongoing efforts to address the complex regional dynamics and work toward a peaceful resolution, as both leaders strive for a more stable and harmonious future in the South Caucasus region, the Turkish commentator noted.--0--
