European Azerbaijanis call to speed up the establishment of the National Council
Council of National Unity of Azerbaijanis living in Europe (CNUALE) called on the protesting electorate of Azerbaijan to unite around the National Council which is being created in the country.
The upcoming presidential election is a good opportunity to get rid of the Aliyev regime ruling the country for 40 years, reads the statement of the CNUALE.
taking into account the concentration of the enormous financial, administrative and repressive resource in the hands of power, only a consolidation of the democratic forces can withstand this regime. Therefore, there is not alternative to the creation of a powerful popular movement, the statement said.
The statement authors support the format of unification proposed by Rustam Ibrahimbayov in the form of the National Council.
CNUALE called on democratic forces in Azerbaijan to consolidate in the National Council and to identify within it a single candidate for presidency.—05D06-
