European Commissioner for Human Rights calls for the release of all political prisoners
Strasbourg / 13.08.18 / Turan: European Commissioner for Human Rights Dunja Mijatovic welcomed today's decision of the court in Azerbaijan to release leader of REAL Party Ilgar Mammadov.
"With sense of relief I have learned that Ilgar Mammadov was finally released! I call on the Azerbaijani authorities to remove from him all charges, including a ban on leaving the country. Azerbaijan must respect its obligations in the field of human rights and release all people who are imprisoned for their critical views," Mijatović said. -16D-
