Facilitation of Deprivation of Parliamentary Powers
Baku / 23.10.18 / Turan: A draft law on amendments to the rules of ethical conduct of the deputy has been submitted to the plenary session of the Milli Majlis for consideration. This information was confirmed to Turan by MP Fazil Mustafa.
The essence of the innovation is that a deputy may be deprived of his mandate on the pretext of violating ethical norms and deprived of his mandate.
"This issue was reflected in the 2016 referendum on amendments to the Constitution. Previously, the question of depriving a deputy of authority was considered in the Disciplinary Commission of Parliament, if he did not attend 30 meetings of Parliament. According to the latest innovations, depriving a deputy of authority is possible under any pretext," said Mustafa.
According to him, there is no such a law in any country of the world. -05D06--
