Father of Emergencies Minister, MP Heydarov Dies
Baku / 04.08.20 / Turan: The oldest member of the Milli Majlis, Fattah Heydarov, died last night at the age of 82.
A native of Nakhchivan, Heydarov was one of Heydar Aliyev's companions and an authoritative member of the Nakhchivan clan.
In Soviet times, he served as the Minister of Culture of the Nakhchivan Autonomy, and then for many years was a member of the Supreme Council from the Nakhchivan Republic.
Thanks to these merits, his son Kamaladdin Heydarov headed the Customs House of Azerbaijan in the mid-90s, turning into one of the most powerful and wealthy oligarchs in the country. Later, he headed the Ministry of Emergencies, which he still leads. -02D-
