Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov received a delegation of US Broadcasting Board headed by John Giambalvo, the deputy director of the International Broadcasting Jeffrey Trimble, and vice president of radio «Liberty» Financial Officer. According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting discussed bilateral relations and exchanged views on the activities of the radio “Azadliq” (Liberty.) The meeting was also attended by US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Robert Sekyuta.
* Broadcasting radio "Azadlig" in Azerbaijan on local waves was banned in late 2009, and broadcast continued on the Internet. However, in December 2014 the authorities raided and sealed the office radio, prohibiting its future activities. -16D04-

From 19 to 26 July, 24 automatic rifles, 1 machine gun, 9 rifles, 28 grenades, 441 shells, 3118 cartridges of different calibre and other ammunition were found in Khankendi, the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry reported. President Ilham Aliyev has approved by decree the Azerbaijan-Kazakh intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in military intelligence defense sector. The document was signed in Baku on 7 June 2024.
