Ararat Mirzoyan
Former Speaker of Parliament headed the Armenian Foreign Ministry
Baku/19.08.21/Turan: Ararat Mirzoyan, former Speaker of the Parliament, has been appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.
It is important to stress that Mirzoyan is the closest associate of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. All three years of Pashinyan's rule, the Foreign Ministry remained a weak point that sabotaged or objected to the policy being pursued. All these were accompanied by regular resignations of foreign ministers to end in a scandal when the entire leadership of the Ministry refused to perform their duties.
After that, Pashinyan was forced to appoint the head of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan as the first Deputy Foreign Minister.
At present, along with the appointment of the new Foreign Minister, Armen Grigoryan has been reinstated to the post of the head of the Security Council. -02D-
