French Foreign Minister accuses Azerbaijan of immorality
Baku/29.08.23/Turan: Baku is using a strangulation strategy to cause a mass exodus of Armenians from Karabakh, which is illegal and immoral, French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna said at the annual conference of French ambassadors abroad.
"We are mobilizing in such a way as to create conditions for a just and lasting peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, to delimit the borders between the two countries and offer the people of Nagorno-Karabakh the opportunity to live there while ensuring their rights, culture and history. The strangulation strategy aimed at provoking a mass exodus of Armenians from Nagorno-Karabakh is illegal and, as the International Court of Justice has established, it is also immoral," the Column said.
Prior to the same conference, French President Emmanuel Macron also spoke, and said that he would take a new diplomatic initiative to lift the blockade of the Lachin corridor, and pressure would be increased on Azerbaijan for this. ---02D---
