French Foreign Ministry condemned installation of checkpoint in Lachin
Baku/24.04.23/Turan: France condemns the establishment by Azerbaijan of a checkpoint at the entrance to the Lachin corridor, which contradicts the commitments made under the ceasefire agreements and damages the negotiation process.
This is stated in a statement by the French Foreign Ministry on the evening of April 23.
"France calls on Azerbaijan to comply with its international obligations, in particular to implement the interim measures specified by the International Court of Justice in its February 22 ruling, which are binding.
This decision provides for restoration of free movement of goods, people and goods along the Lachin corridor in both directions, uninterrupted supply of gas and electricity to the population," the statement reads. -02D-
